We have just released firmware version 34L2 for our VESTA control panels. The latest improvements are designed to further optimise the experience for both installers and end users. With these updates, we reinforce system integration with ADV, expand control capabilities, and continue simplifying VESTA installation and management.
1. Integration with VESTA ADVANCED NVR
We have taken an important step by integrating ADV series NVRs directly into the VESTA system. It is now possible to manage all IP cameras, both those connected to the panel and those linked to the NVR, from a single environment: the SmartHomeSec app.

Extremely simple installation
We have developed a very straightforward installation method to connect the panel to the NVR. The control panel automatically scans the local network by IP and detects the NVR without manual intervention. The installer only needs to enter the NVR credentials, username and password, to complete the pairing. The process is very quick and finishes in under 30 seconds.

Functions
Real-time visualisation
Once the NVR is paired, all cameras connected to the recorder appear automatically in the SmartHomeSec app. The user can view any camera in real time from anywhere, without switching apps. Direct IP cameras, panel cameras and NVR cameras are all unified into a single visualisation system. The entire installation can be managed from one application.

Advanced linking with the alarm system
Each NVR channel becomes a security zone and uses the IVS functions of that channel. Additionally, each camera can be linked to panel devices to create automations and security actions. For example, when a magnetic contact triggers an alarm, the system can request snapshots from the linked channel and the user receives the event along with the corresponding images. Cameras and alarm work together in a fully coordinated way, automatically responding to any incident. This capability enables installers to offer far more complete, professional and integrated security solutions.
IVS events managed directly by the panel
The NVR sends intelligent video analysis events to the VESTA panel, including intrusion detection, line crossing and motion detection. These events can trigger alarms on the panel, be sent to the Alarm Receiving Centre, activate scenes and automations, or trigger alarms with image capture and playback before and after the event, with ten seconds pre-event and twenty seconds post-event. This turns the CCTV system from a passive recorder into an active security system that not only records but also protects.
Extended capacity per NVR
The integration supports up to 24 channels per recorder, making it ideal for industrial warehouses, shopping centres, hotels, residences and corporate offices. Each channel is managed independently within the VESTA ecosystem and cameras can be assigned to different system areas, user permissions can be configured per area, and customised security links can be created for each zone.
2. Instant snapshots with human detection
VESTA ADVANCED cameras capture and send photos at the exact moment an event occurs, such as line crossing or intrusion, without waiting for a request from the system. This eliminates delays and ensures accurate images of the precise event moment.

3. More flexible PIN code management
PIN code management has been optimised. The master code can now be synchronised automatically to match User 1 of Area 1, simplifying administration and reducing the number of codes the user must remember. The aim is to improve convenience and ease day-to-day operation.

4. OTA firmware update
New-generation devices such as the VST-897 can now be updated remotely via OTA directly from the SmartHomeSec app or web interface. This improvement simplifies maintenance and speeds up the deployment of updates.

5. Improvements for Yale locks
Full support has been added for Yale V2N and L3 locks. The PIN memory function allows the door to be opened without entering the code each time, and behaviour has been improved when multiple locks are linked. Codes can be configured with specific schedules such as always active, weekly, monthly or with a defined duration. Users can disable specific codes for certain locks, providing full control over who can access and when, including employees, cleaning staff or maintenance personnel. These functions can be managed directly by the end user.

6. New compatible devices
Available integrations have been expanded to offer more configuration possibilities. New devices include:
- DC-23Z2: wireless magnetic contact with Taparella function for the Italian market
- SD-32-HM: smoke detector with integrated siren
- EIR-35: outdoor PIR detector replacing the current version
New VESTA Home cameras have also been added, such as IPC-B32-OUT-WF, IPC-A1-PTZ-WF and IPC-C32-IN-WF, as well as ID LOCK integration via Z-Wave. These additions allow further customisation of each project according to customer needs.
7. Scenes and automation from the main screen
System scenes are now directly available on the security page of the SmartHomeSec app, allowing activation with a single tap. This encourages more frequent use of advanced functions and significantly improves user experience.

8. Compliance with the NIS2 Cybersecurity Directive
The VESTA system now complies with the requirements of the NIS2 Directive of the European Union, the strictest cybersecurity framework for critical infrastructures. This compliance ensures maximum data protection, robust access and credential management, prevention of cyberattacks and legal conformity for critical installations such as hospitals, infrastructures, strategic companies and public authorities. Installers can now confidently deploy VESTA in projects requiring cybersecurity certification.

As part of this adaptation, password policies have been strengthened. New accounts or password changes must meet the following requirements: at least eight characters, one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter and one number. A valid example is Vesta@2025. Existing accounts are not affected by this rule.
With this certification, VESTA positions itself as one of the few platforms in the sector that meets NIS2 requirements, offering advanced protection, regulatory confidence and legal peace of mind for installers and end users.
9. Mass assignment of devices to installers
Distributors can now assign multiple panels to several installers simultaneously from the backend. This improvement accelerates operational management and optimises team coordination.

Additional improvements
RFID display has been added when adding devices through the SmartHomeSec app or web interface, repeater connection maps have been improved, the IVS subscription button is now hidden when the system is disarmed, and stability issues have been fixed on Android devices such as the Google Pixel 8 Pro.
