The Vesta battery operated alarm panel, the most poweful autonomous control panel on the market is characterized by its easy communication, even in remote areas without electricity or internet access via router. In addition, it has the certification of Grade 2, medium risk.

We are pleased to announce the upgrade of the VESTA battery operated alarm panel, which will offer installers and users of the alarm system maximum flexibility in terms of operation and communications.

Hardware improvements in the new panel

The new version of the VESTA battery alarm panel has important improvements in the hardware and we will be able to identify it by two new references: VESTA-067N and VESTA-068N. The panel is capable of operating with external batteries or power supplies, as it has a Jack DC input [15]. It also has a MicroUSB port to be able to make quick programming with the PC and even carry out updates in less than 2 minutes [16].

It also allows the inclusion of external antennas of the SMA type [11], the same ones that are currently available in the VESTA Hybrid Alarm panel.

1. Panel operation with 4 D-type batteries

  • The panel enters in ECO mode (except communication with CLOUD).
  • Report everything immediately to both the APP and the ARC.
  • In the event of an alarm, the panel enables the cloud for a certain time (configurable) to allow remote intervention by the user or ARC.
  • Subsequently, it enters ECO mode to save batteries.
  • The recommended Polling is 6h so that the panel battery can last 1 year.
  • Devices such as (door contacts or vibration) can be assigned the WAKE UP attribute which will make the panel wake up for (5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes, also selectable).
  • You can create automations of arming and disarming by schedule and even take automatic photo captures2. Panel operation with external battery +4 D-type batteries
  • The panel will automatically detect the external battery input and will automatically enable 24-hour communication with the cloud. It is not necessary to configure any parameters, it is fully automatic.
  • You can work with lower polling (1h, 30 min or 15 min) and the duration of the external battery will be 1 year with CLOUD at 100%. By having the batteries, when the external battery is exhausted, the panel will enter ECO mode (specified in the first section) and will last 1 more year on batteries.

 

2. Panel operation with external battery +4 D-type batteries

  • The panel will automatically detect the external battery input and will automatically enable 24-hour communication with the cloud. It is not necessary to configure any parameters, it is fully automatic.
  • You can work with lower polling (1h, 30 min or 15 min) and the duration of the external battery will be 1 year with CLOUD at 100%. By having the batteries, when the external battery is exhausted, the panel will enter ECO mode (specified in the first section) and will last 1 more year on batteries. 

    3. Panel operation with 12v power supply

    • This panel is developed for spaces without electricity supply, however, these places, after a certain time, may discharge the supply. For these cases, and in order to offer greater flexibility, the panel has been enabled with hardware that allows a 12V power supply (the same input as the external battery) in this way, we have a very wide flexibility at the level of installation scope.
    • The panel will automatically detect the power supply input and automatically enable 24-hour communication with the cloud, without the need to configure any parameters, it is fully automatic.
    • It is possible to work with lower polling (1h, 30 min or 15 min). By having the batteries, when the AC fails the panel will go into ECO mode (specified in the first section) and will last 1 more year on batteries.

    The front panel of the VESTA battery-operated Alarm (references VESTA-067 and VESTA-068) has a new update available to update in the installer APP.

    It is very simple. We just have to enable the Cloud and access the “Automatic Updates” section, select the latest firmware and it will update automatically.
