We inform you that the Skill “VESTA SMART” is now available:


What does this Skill allow?

The VESTA SMART skill allows us to switch modes and control automation devices, as well as automatic scenes through the ALEXA voice assistant. Providing a unique user experience.

How to activate it?

  1. Click on the Enable skill button on this pages:
  2. Then tap the button that says Account Link
  3. The vesta SmartHomeSec login page will appear.
  4. Enter your username and password
  5. Press Sign In to link your SmartHomeSec account.
  6. For added security, set up a 4-digit PIN code for each area (this step will be skipped if using a medical panel).
  7. You should see a screen saying ‘Account Linking Successful’.

What commands can I say?

Here are some examples of how to interact with your VESTA Alarm System:

[Security]

Arm:

  • Area 1: Alexa, tell VESTA SMART arm area 1
  • Area 2: Alexa, tell VESTA SMART to arm area 2

Disarm:

  • Area 1: Alexa, tell VESTA SMART disarm area 1
  • Area 2: Alexa, tell VESTA SMART disarm Area 2

Home mode:

  • Area 1: Alexa, tell VESTA SMART home arm area 1
  • Area 2: Alexa, tell VESTA SMART to arm home area 2

[Automation]

To control an ignition switch:

  • Alexa, tell VESTA SMART turn on {device name}.
  • Alexa, tell VESTA SMART to turn off {device name}.
  • Alexa, tell VESTA SMART to turn on {device name}.

To control a dimmer:

  • Alexa, tell VESTA SMART to turn on {device name}.
  • Alexa, tell VESTA SMART to turn off {device name}.
  • Alexa, tell VESTA SMART to dim {device name} to {0 ~ 100}%.
  • Alexa, tell VESTA SMART to set {device name} to {0 ~ 100}%.

To control a shutter:

  • Alexa, tell VESTA SMART to open {device name}.
  • Alexa, tell VESTA SMART to close {device name}.
  • Alexa, tell VESTA SMART to set {device name} to {0 ~ 100}%.

To apply scene:

  • Alexa, tell VESTA SMART to apply scene {scene name}.
