The new features and improvements of the VESTA System are detailed below, from firmware 30A and higher:

User and installer experience improvements

Changing the information and logo of the APP SmartHomeSec

The installation companies will be able to modify the contact details and the start logo of the SmartHomeSec APP. The change made from the Backend will be propagated to all the end clients of the installation company.

Separation of the installer/user section:

The Installer and User sections within the SmartHomeSec APP have been separated within the interface, to facilitate user access to the APP.

Management of user privileges from the APP/WEB installer

User privilege management is a function that allows the installer to select and configure the App functionalities that will be available to the end user. This means that the installer can customize the interface of the application according to the needs and preferences of the use.

For example: the installer can select which sections of the application will be available to the end user. If the user only needs to have access to the security and cameras section, the installer can disable the automation, events and photo request sections.

In this way, the end user will only have access to the functionalities necessary for its use, which simplifies the application interface and reduces the possibility of errors by the user when interacting with functionalities that he does not need.

This feature is especially useful for installations where users may have different levels of experience or knowledge in using home automation and security systems. User privilege management allows the installer to customize the application for each user, improving the user experience and customer satisfaction.

New features

Integration of the VCP-LTE-SV-F1 voice module

  • It is added in the VESTA panel as a speaking and listening device.
  • Possibility of making two-way calls from the central.
  • Activation from Automatic Rules: This feature can also be activated from Automatic Rules, which means that it can be scheduled to activate in certain situations or events, such as when motion is detected in a specific zone or when an alarm is triggered.

Backup copy of any VESTA panel in the installer section

The “Backup” function on the VESTA panel allows installers to backup the panel configuration in one click. This backup is stored securely on the Bakend, which is a remote server.

The backup contains all the panel configuration information, including zone information, connected devices, schedule settings, users and their permissions, among others.

When you need to restore the configuration to a new VESTA panel, simply enter the MAC address of the new panel and the backup will be automatically sent from the Backend to the new panel. This allows for quick and easy configuration restoration to a new panel, without the need to reconfigure everything from scratch.

Z-WAVE control and management tool from the APP/WEB installer

The Z-WAVE control and management tool is a functionality available on the SmartHomeSec App and Web, designed to facilitate the management and configuration of Z-WAVE devices. This tool allows installers to manage Z-WAVE devices installed in the home, office or building efficiently and easily.

Through the tool, installers can configure Z-WAVE devices by class, which means that they can adjust their characteristics according to the needs of each device, such as sensitivity to movement, lighting duration or temperature, among others. In addition, they can also perform advanced management such as the exclusion or reset of the Z-WAVE mesh.

Integration with WATCHMAN lock [WBOLT-001]

The integration with the WATCHMAN lock provides additional functionality to the security system as it allows the lock to be controlled from the VESTA panel through Zigbee protocol communication. This means that the user can remotely lock or unlock the lock from the SmartHomeSec APP. In addition, the integration also allows tamper signals to be received if the lock is picked or tampered with in any way, which can alert the user/ARC to any possible intrusion attempts.

NOTE: Being a ZIGBEE integration, neither a plug-in router nor internet access is required in the lock.

ARC communication test button with one click from the APP/WEB installer

The TEST ARC function has been added to the VESTA panel that allows testing communication with the alarm receiving center (ARC) quickly and easily from the application or the installer’s web interface.

Before this improvement, to perform a communication test with the ARC, the installer had to call the control panel or send a test signal from the panel, which required time and resources. Now, with the addition of the communication test button, the installer can immediately verify the connection to the ARC and ensure that the alarm is sent correctly in an emergency.

This enhancement can help installers save time and improve efficiency in installing and maintaining security systems. You can also improve customer confidence and satisfaction by providing a quick and easy test of alarm system functionality.

Improved Artificial Intelligence integration with Dahua Technology & VESTA cameras

In the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) with the DAHUA and VESTA security cameras. Added functionality to check subscription status to AI events in real time, allowing for better monitoring and control of security cameras. In addition, a button has been added to quickly find and subscribe to AI events from cameras in case of loss of subscription. This enhancement increases the effectiveness and efficiency of AI integration with security cameras, resulting in better security and protection for users.

V-MAX BUS functionalities

BUS device identification system by “Serial Number” + quick identification by LED/sound

Assisted calculator for the BUS system

The Powered BUS System Calculator is a tool that helps installers and technicians calculate the total power required of the V-MAX BUS system. In addition, the calculator also allows you to calculate the voltage drop in the BUS system, which is important to ensure optimal and safe operation of the system.

In case it is necessary to add an extra power supply to the system, the calculator tells us the need to do so and specifies the type of power supply required to meet the power requirements of the system. This helps ensure that the system has enough power to function properly and prevent potential problems due to lack of power.
